Cremas Absalon

Who inspired you to start making kremas ice cream?

Not a matter of who, but what. The idea of cremas ice cream came to me as I was brainstorming on how to improve my current cremas product. It just so happened that I had an ice cream machine lying around at the time, the business was still in its early stages. After a few failed attempts, I perfected the recipe, letting everyone around me taste test. The concept of cremas ice cream was and still is mind-blowing. In addition to cremas ice cream, I have a few more frozen dessert products coming down the pipeline this year.
Someone once called me a game-changer. I accept that.

What is the most challenging thing about your business?

Too many things to list but one of the most challenging things is scaling the business while working a full-time job. There are plenty of lost opportunities and the inability to conduct Cremas Absalon the way I want to while balancing a 9-5. However, I am fortunate to have help when I am unable to vend at an event. Until Cremas Absalon becomes my only full-time occupation, I must be very discriminatory on things I do.

When did you launch the business?

I launched the business in 2013 with the idea to revolutionize traditional cremas. My product differs from authentic cremas by design. It was created with the younger Haitian-American generation in mind. I made something that is versatile, well balanced and that I can use in many different forms. Cremas Absalon’s mission is to create a line of cremas inspired products.

Where can we find products from Cremas Absalon?

Cremas Absalon Cremas Creamer, Cremas Shots, and Mini Cremas Bottles are available on http://www.cremasabsalon.com. The larger bottles and ice cream products are mostly sold at pop-up events. However, customers can send an email to info@cremasabsalon.com to place an order.

Why the name Absalon?

Absalon is my last name. People tend to compliment me on my family name, so I wanted to name the brand something that people will continue to compliment and love!

How many employees do you have?

It is mostly myself, but my family also helps out.
